The city tour begins with a walking tour around the central Plaza de Armas, Stone of 13 angles (an example of superb Incan masonry), and the San Pedro Market. We will have lunch at one of the many fabulous restaurants in the city and then continue the tour in our private transport. We will visit the impressive Sacsayhuaman archaeological site and look out over Cusco from Christo Blanoc, before stopping at the smaller sites of Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay.

Pisac and OllantaytamboPisac, Cusco, Peru, Inca, archaeological sites

We will pick you up from your hotel and drive down into the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Optional visit to the small Andean Zoo or Cameloid farm on the way to Pisac. You will have a tour of the Pisac archaeological site set up high on steep terraces overlooking the valley before a meander through the handicraft and souvenir marker in the small town of Pisac. We will have a buffet lunch before continuing on to the quaint, cobblestoned village of Ollantaytambo, where we can see the Incan gutters and trapezoid doorways still in use. After a tour of the Ollantaytambo archaeological site we return to Cusco.

Maras, Moray, ChincherosChincheros, Inca, Cusco, Peru, weaving, culture, history

This tour is varied and so popular, it has a page of it’s own. The Maras Salt Mines, fed by a naturally salty spring, the Moray experimental archaeological site and Chincheros archaeological site and weaving and textile workshop.

Southern CuscoAndahuaylillas, baroque, church

This tour visits the archaeological site of Koricancha Temple in Cusco, before we drive east towards the Ausanagate mountain where we visit Tipon and Piquillacta, which pre date the Incas. We then call into the Andahuaylillas church which is a typical colonial building from the outside but has been beautifully decorated inside.with remarkable paintings, a majestic organ, silver jewelry and a baroque altar. We then return to Cusco.
